The Friday, July 3 the official presentation of Kokoro Japan Expo 2026, an event that turns Vigo, during the days July 4th and 5th, the great meeting point for lovers of Japanese culture, manga, anime, cosplay, gaming, and Asian entertainment.
The presentation was attended by Mayor of Vigo, Abel Caballerothe Event organizer, Óscar Gómezthe Manager of IFEVI, Arsenio Prieto, and the Councilwoman for Youth, María Lago, who highlighted the constant growth of an already established event as one of the main cultural and leisure events in the northwest of the Iberian Peninsula.
The organization plans to reach 12,000 visitors throughout the weekend. The activities will take place from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM, with programming designed for all audiences and which this year incorporates important new features, such as a expanded gamer zone up to 350 square meters, a new Indie Zone for emerging developers and a space dedicated to anime from Anime Box.
Among the main activities of this fourth edition are:
• Samurai and ninja show with Katana One.
• Taiko concert by Purple Drum.
• Cosplay competition and fashion show with international guests from Italy, Portugal, and Spain.
• 350 m² gamer zone with tournaments and experiences for video game fans.
• Anime Box Space with giant screen screenings of Oshi no Ko y Mao.
• New Indie Zone for independent studios and developers.
• Talk by the voice actress Elena Jimenez.
Musical performances by Elesky e Icy Amane.
• Content creators such as By Xoulz, Mafskiwi, Captain Giuseppe y Danii.
• Kimono art workshops, sumi-e, and neuroscience.
• Bonsai exhibitions, martial arts, Japanese Lolita fashion, and literature.
• Themed Escape Room.
• Extensive gastronomic offer with Japanese and Korean specialties.
